System Profiler has been renamed System Information and it opens from the new simplified window. I don't like the new Apple System Information view. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Keyboard > Text tab > untick the "Correct spelling automatically" option in the top right. ![]() I don't like the new system wide text "Auto-Correct" feature. Alternatively if you like the feature for some applications but not others, in those that you don't want the feature you can alt-Command-Quit (Quit and Discard Windows). Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > General and tick the "Close windows when quitting an app" option. I don't like the system "Resume" feature. I fired it up again and the same exact thing happened. Then I saw the Apple Logo, followed by the progress bar, and then I saw a burst of code (Attached image) and the PC shut off. I then put everything back to where it was, and tried to boot macOS Sierra off of my Desktop, the Envy. I then booted off of the USB, installed Sierra onto the SSD of the Envy, with no problems, and then replaced the EFI folder on it with the one I had originally been trying to do. So next, I took my functioning Hackintosh, (Asus Q502LA, i5-4210u, 8gb ram.) to test if it was a corrupted installer, which it wasn't, and then, I went to my working Hackintosh (the ASUS) and I replaced the internal hard drive with the target one that I was originally trying to install macOS on, and on the USB I had been using for Sierra, replaced the EFI folder for the Envy with the one for my working Asus. Next, I tried to install macOS Sierra, just with the end goal of updating back up to Big Sur, which the installer actually did work this time, but after it rebooted, it did not show my drive, only 3 options being my usb drive, reset nvram, and openshell.efi, so I could not finish installing. Just to test if it was a weird fluke, I tried both of those again, still with no good end result. ![]() Next I tried creating the installer through macOS by creating the bootable media, and putting the EFI on the EFI partition, and I also left this one for hours, but when I checked the logs it was stuck on "Verifying SharedSupport.dmg". Hey guys! So I've been trying to install macOS Big Sur onto my pc, (HP Envy 750-114, i5-6400, 16gb ram.) using opencore, and I first tried creating it on a PC, although when trying to install it got stuck on 13 minutes remaining throughout the entire night.
